The 6th WTF World Junior Taekwondo Championships - HCMC, Vietnam took place from 26th to 30th July 2006. Both Christina No and Eleni Zafiropoulos quafied to the Australian Team.
The 2006 Australian Junior Taekwondo Team departed from Australia on the 20 July for Vung Tau City Vietnam, where they spent a couple of days acclimatising and training.
Christina competed on Thursday 27 July and Eleni on Sunday 30 July, the last day of the competition.
Christina No and Eleni Zafiropoulos, both quarter finalists, faced fierce competition on the allocated day of their tournament as did the rest of the Australian Team, and unfortunately, no medals were won by Australia.
Master Joon No was proud of our 2 Australian Female Junior Team representatives at this International competition, as the experience for both girls was truly a valuable one.
This was Eleni's 3rd consecutive year and Christina's 2nd consecutive year as members of the Australian National Junior Team.
