Five of Joon No's "Tiger Team" Junior Black Belt club members qualified to represent Australia Internationally at the 2007 Australian Youth Olympic Festival (AYOF) held on 17th -21st January 2007, at Olympic Park, Sydney, N.S.W.

During the summer training camp over the Christmas holidays, our competitors trained intensely and were ready to take on countries such Chinese Taipei, China and Great Britain which placed in the top 10 in the World Junior Championships held in Vietnam last year.

Christopher Beach, an aspiring young athlete, won the first Gold Medal for Australia in the junior under 55 weight division against Great Britain. This was a wonderful achievement, as his dedication to our training program and total application on the day assisted him in achieving his goal.

Christina No, Adrian Chee and Taner Hikmet also faced fierce competition on the day and fought their best against countries including China.

All our junior competitors that attended this International event proved to be world class fighters, who trained and applied themselves in training, always giving a 100 % to get to where they are. It is very important that all our competitors keep up their hard work in training, lead a good clean lifestyle and always remain focused on their goals.
