Taekwondo is about having fun even though we are training at the same time. We don't realise that we are getting fit everyday of our lives, while enjoying the fun at Taekwondo. While we are training we are showing strength and life during training our mind and body. Taekwondo is more than physical strength or training, but allows us to control fights, calm down and make peace between fights. Taekwondo teaches us to be respectful, modest and compassion. Responsibility is the most important, we are learnt to respect our teachers, our parents and students around us.
I started Taekwondo at the age of four. My brother and I had come to watch what Taekwondo was all about and what they did. Mr No, our teacher, encouraged my brother to train with the other students. I saw that Mr No was teaching my brother how to kick and punch. I watched for a few minutes and realised that Taekwondo was something new that I could try. I had asked my dad if I could join and I finally did. It turned out to be fun when training and I was able to make friends while following my brother. During training at Taekwondo I have built up strength and learnt lots of things about Taekwondo, about being respectful to other students and Mr No.
Taekwondo has changed my life a lot. I have been keeping fit and healthy ever since I started Taekwondo, with Mr No encouraging us to be active all the time. Mr No has taught me a lot of things, such as to be respectful and being healthy. My thoughts have been positive and active. I have also learnt about Taekwondo and how to keep fit. During learning Taekwondo I have learnt how to defend myself, attack, make peace and control fights. I have enjoyed this experience and hope to continue on my journey with our teacher, Mr No.
