I have been doing Taekwondo for 3 years. In the beginning, it was difficult because I had to try and remember my patterns and self defence techniques. It got easier over time with a lot of practice.
Taekwondo teaches me self defence techniques so that I can protect myself and my family and keeps me fit as well.
My dad says "WITHOUT A SOUND MIND YOU WON'T HAVE A STRONG BODY AND WITHOUT A STRONG BODY YOU WON'T HAVE A STRONG MIND".
It also gives me confidence because I use to get very nervous just before a competition.
There are many times where I wanted to give up because it was getting harder but I didn't give up and kept going as my goal was to get my Black Belt one day. There is a long road ahead of me and I hope Taekwondo teaches me how to handle hard times in my life.
One example was when I wasn't sure if I could break a board and Master No said everything comes with time. I was very surprised when I did break boards.
DAD SAYS THAT EVERY PERSON IS BORN FREE BUT EVERY PERSON NEEDS SOMEONE TO GUIDE THEM JUST AS I NEED MASTER NO TO GUIDE ME IN TAEKWONDO.
