As part of an ongoing recruitment drive, an Open Day was held at our Kew Club on Sunday February 22nd. Several groups of interested visitors watched Grandmaster Joon No and his Demonstration Team go through their routine which included hand and kicking techniques, poomsae, sparring and board breaking. Our visitors were then invited to take part in a beginners class to learn some basic taekwondo stances, punches and kicks. Overall the day was very successful and thanks to all the members of the Demonstration Team who put on a impressive display of taekwondo techniques. Also thanks to the Membership Recruitment Committee, in particular Jill Sung and Margie Mahon, and the parents who helped out on the day, Brian Cheong, Joyce Goh, Chris Michael, Helen Tachas, Tracy Willson and Leslie Wynn.
