World Junior Championships 2010 Selections October 2009
Joon No's Taekwondo, once again, topped results, securing 4 out of 18 categories at the Selections held on 31 Oct 2009. A small team of some of our most promising junior (14 – 17 years) black belt athletes headed to Perth on the Melbourne Cup long weekend, to compete in the selection tournament for the Junior World Taekwondo Championships, which will be held in Mexico next year. With positions on the Australian Team up for grabs, a lot of pressure was on our athletes and tension ran high. With the grueling round robin selection format, (where ever competitor in the division fights each other) every fight was a must win. All our Tiger Team members returned home with a medal, with four of our athletes carrying gold medals. Kostan Ioannou, Janelle Hocking, Kanica May and Michael Metaxatos will now represent Australia at the Junior World Taekwondo Championships. Congratulations to all our Tiger Team members on an outstanding performance. in Perth.
The following 4 Gold Medalists will represent Australia at the World Junior Championships 2010 Mexico in Mar 2010. Congratulations to all!!

Australia International Championships 2009
In conjunction with the Junior World Taekwondo Selection Tournament, Sports Taekwondo Australia (STA) hosted their first Australian International Open Tournament, which included both poomsae and sparring for coloured and black belt athletes. After the excitement and tension of the selection tournament the day before, many of our athletes had to fire themselves up for another day of competition. Again all our JNT athletes posted impressive results with every competitor winning a medal, with 50% proudly wearing gold medals.
