Grading is the formal way that all students progress at each belt level. All techniques are taught in class, and the prerequisites at each progressive level are clearly outlined in the grading syllabus provided by Grandmaster No.
Students are judged on their knowledge and skill level of the required kicking and blocking techniques, poomsae, self defence techniques, Korean terminology and etiquette.
Grandmaster No has high standards for Black Belts and promotions are by invitation only upon attaining minimum standards. Meeting Kukkiwon's minimum time period does not automatically qualify for higher dan grading. All Black Belts at Joon No's Taekwondo are Kukkiwon recognised and certified, awarded with internationally recognised official Kukkiwon Rank Certificate and Card.
Colour Belt Gradings are held every term in March, June, September and December.
Black Belt Higher Poom and Dan Gradings are held in May and November.
